<p>Novelo is now offering not one, but three badges created especially for you.</p>
<p>With the badge, your store on Facebook gets more visibility within your website or blog and, as a result, the clients and visitors traffic can be improved.</p>
<p><strong>How to generate a badge</strong></p>
<p>To access your seals, go to the managing area of your store on Novelo, click the Marketing link and then click the Badges option.</p>
<p>You’ll see 3 badges options, each one with a unique code, generated especially for your store. Choose one of the codes, copy and paste it to your website.</p>
<p>To display the badge on a blog, follow one of the procedures below.</p>

<p><strong>How to add a banner</strong></p>
<p>Go to the managing area of your store, click on the Extras tab and select the Banner option. Then, upload an image or a flash video.</p>

<p>When accessing the mall, the visitor will see a list of categories and be able to browse them, checking out products of different stores.</p>

<p><strong>How to install it</strong><br />
Go to the Extras tab and click on the Install button, next to the option “More images by product.”</p>

<p>Please remember that the option Product Photo is the main image, i.e, this will be the image shown on your store’s home page. The others, called Additional Photos, are extra images which will be shown on the album after the user clicks on the product.</p>

<p>These bonuses don’t expire – you can send the invitation today and it doesn’t matter if the person starts using Novelo only after a long time, your discount will still be valid.</p>
<p>There are two ways for earning bonuses: when a user you invited opens a store on Novelo with more than one product on sale and when an invited user finalizes a purchase on any store on Novelo.</p>
<p><strong>How will Novelo know that a user was referred by me?</strong></p>

<p>The referring URL directs the user to Novelo’s page and has a code that is exclusively yours. This way, our system will know who used Novelo through your invitation.</p>
<p>You can access the managing page of your store on a regular basis and click on the Referrals tab. There you can find the list of people who were invited and accepted your invitation.</p>
<p><strong>Is there any chance that I’ll lose the bonuses I earned?</strong></p>
<p>Only if the person you invited cancels the store or becomes ineligible for any reason (for example, opening a store without registering more than one product, creating a fake store, among other possibilities).</p>

<p><strong>What are the benefits of Like Wall?</strong></p>
<p>With Like Wall, the number of ‘Likes’ in you store can rapidly increase, after all, each visitor will have to ‘Like’ your page to see the products on sale.</p>
<p>In addition, every time someone ‘Likes’ a page, he/she starts receiving the news feed of that business</a>. Ergo, every time you publish something on your page’s wall, the news will appear on the wall of everyone who ‘Liked’ your page.</p>
<p>And there’s also the domino effect: whoever reads the news your store publishes can comment on and share them with friends, which will consequently improve your business visibility.</p>
<p><strong>How to add Like Wall</strong></p>
<p>To add Like Wall:</p>
<p>1.     Go to the managing area of your store and  click on the Extras tab</p>

<p>3. If you want to remove the tool, repeat the step 1, click on the Configure button and  choose Uninstall</p>

<p>Now it’s time for lesson 2, which teaches that social commerce goes beyond the definition above. In practice, it’s much more than just selling or buying on a network such as Facebook.</p>
<p>Take Coca-Cola’s example. You’ll agree that the giant soft drink manufacturer doesn’t need to sell its beverages online, right? And it wouldn’t make much sense to sell soft drinks to satiate the thirst of Facebook users anyway…</p>

<p>Still, Coca-Cola didn’t miss out on social commerce.</p>
<p>The company launched a store on Facebook and is selling products that carry the famous red and white logo. When visiting Coca-Cola Store, you’ll find caps, mugs, glasses, watches, chairs, tables, saltshakers and even the famous vintage posters that collectors love. The items, which no fan can complain about, are more than just consumer goods: they are an excellent marketing and communication vehicle for Coca-Cola.</p>

<p>Do you understand now why the company adhered to social commerce? It was not only about the commerce itself.</p>
<p>According to analysts of electronic commerce, Coca-Cola considers increasing the fans engagement with the brand on social networks an extremely high priority. It’s not for nothing that it recently launched an ad campaign for iPhone, with banners that take users directly to the mobile version of its page on Facebook. All to increase its store traffic on the social network, thus improving the engagement with the brand.</p>
<p>Once again, commerce, in this example, wasn’t the objective of social commerce.</p>
<p>If you have a brand and consider unnecessary to be present on social networks, think about this tactic. Any company that wants to challenge the obvious thinking can benefit from this opportunity and learn with the possibilities of social commerce.</p>

<p>A recent research conducted by the US Census Bureau showed that the products that drive most of the online e-commerce are hardware and software, clothing and books and magazines.</p>
<p>On the other hand, items related to drugs and health are the most consumed in offline commerce.</p>
<p>Impressive, isn’t it? In the table below, you’ll see the performance of e-commerce sales compared to offline sales within each category.</p>
<p>For example, you’ll notice that in the total sales of clothing items, 65.9% is via e-commerce and the rest is offline. But in the category Books &amp; Magazines, 61% of sales is via e-commerce compared to 39% offline, and so on.</p>

<p>The company also opened a store on Facebook and, to increase sales, it decided to make scheduled flash promotions. The strategy was named Sales Monday and this is how it works: Every Monday, at noon sharp (EST), each department (women, men, kids) offers discounts in three items.</p>

<p>Of course, the flash promotions are exclusive to Facebook users, who can shop without leaving the social network.</p>
<p><strong>What is the secret for success? </strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>Gilt realized that a store on Facebook has to be different from traditional online stores and that it takes more than just migrating the products catalogue and waiting for the clients to come to be successful.</p>

<p>When Gilt invested in flash promotions, it already knew that the Page’s fans would keep an eye out on its wall and that many of them wouldn’t miss a great deal!</p>
